What is the ideal installation height for the Smart Diffuser HIDE?

The ideal installation height for the HIDE Smart Diffuser is approximately 30 cm above the floor (socket height) or approximately 100 cm above the floor (light switch height). These heights ensure optimal fragrance distribution and ease of use.

Danger:To ensure your smart diffuser functions reliably, please do not mount it in the ceiling or floor. The fragrance capsule contains liquid and may leak if installed horizontally. The safest position is always vertically on the wall.

Steps to install the Smart Diffuser HIDE?

  • Turn off the power : switch off the fuse, check that there is no power.
  • Remove existing switch: Unscrew cover and metal frame.
  • Set aside the metal installation frame: Reusable or use the new installation frame included in the delivery.
  • Connect the cable to the Smart Diffuser
    N (blue) → Connection with N
    L (brown/black) → Connection with L
    Protective conductor (yellow/green) → do not connect
  • Attach the diffuser to the metal installation frame: note the installation direction.
  • Fix the Smart Diffuser: Screw it to the wall.
  • Attaching the switch frame and revoltab inner frame: Slide the inner frame into the outer frame, ensuring that the signifier “r” is positioned at the top left, then click in the Smart Diffuser.
  • Do not insert the room fragrance tab yet.
  • Turn on the power: fuse on, LED flashes green.
  • Start the app and scan the QR code: Follow the instructions in the app.

Why can I barely smell the scent of my smart diffuser?

If you only perceive a faint scent or no scent at all, it may be due to the positioning of the smart diffuser. Here are some common causes and solutions:

  • Ventilation shafts or air outlets:If the diffuser is placed near an active ventilation or air conditioning system, the fragrance stream will be diverted directly, significantly reducing the scent's perception.
  • Cool air currents:Cold air causes the fragrance to sink downwards. Avoid positioning the diffuser directly in a draft.
  • Windows and doors:Avoid placing it directly near open windows, exterior doors, or exits. The scent will dissipate too quickly.
  • Recommended installation height:Make sure the diffuser is installed at light switch or outlet height (approximately 30–100 cm above the floor). This allows for optimal fragrance distribution.
  • Check room size:In very large or heavily ventilated rooms, a single diffuser may not be sufficient. In such cases, we recommend using two units, positioned diagonally opposite each other.

You can individually adjust the fragrance intensity depending on the room size, personal preference or fragrance type.

How do I optimize the fragrance experience?

To enjoy the full fragrance experience, the right basic settings are crucial, especially if your diffuser is controlled by a schedule:

Adjust fragrance intensity in the schedule:When creating your schedule, you can choose between “light,” “medium,” and “high” intensities.

Set room size:In the app, select the appropriate room size for the area in which the diffuser will be used (between 10 m² and 40 m²).

Why isn't my smart diffuser connecting to Wi-Fi?

Here are simple steps you can take to quickly resolve the connection issue yourself, without any prior technical knowledge:

  • Check power supply:Make sure your diffuser is plugged in. The LED should be flashing orange or green.
  • Check Wi-Fi settings:The 2.4GHz band must be enabled (5GHz is not supported).
  • Update network list:Swipe down on your smartphone to refresh the Wi-Fi list.
  • Restart the app:Close the app completely (including in the background) and restart it. Add the device again.
  • Delete device from app:Remove the diffuser and start the onboarding process again.
  • Turning the fuse on and off:Turn it off briefly, wait a minute, and turn it back on. The diffuser will restart.
The Smart Diffuser is not responding – what should I do?

If your smart diffuser isn't responding, there could be several reasons. Depending on the LED color, you'll find the right solution here:

Green:The diffuser is connected but is not receiving data from the app.
Solution:Close the Revoltab app completely (including the background). Restart it and try connecting the diffuser again.

Yellow: The diffuser has no connection to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
Solution:Make sure the diffuser is properly powered. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone. Ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection (2.4 GHz band). Make sure you're near your router.

Blue: The diffuser is ready for use, but is not properly connected to the app or network.
Solution:Please contact our support team. We will assist you personally.

General note:A restart often helps. Disconnect the power supply briefly, wait a minute, and then turn it back on. The diffuser will then restart.

Why is the fragrance/fill level of my room fragrance tab not displayed?
  • Carefully remove the air freshener tab from the device. Use the tab's sleeve to do this. This contains a magnet that safely and easily pulls the tab out of the diffuser. (If you're using the HIDE R02, remove the tab using the eject button on your app.)
  • Close the app completely (including in the background) and restart it.
  • Reinsert the air freshener tab. Make sure it's fully and correctly inserted.
  • If the display still does not appear, try a different air freshener tab (if available) to rule out a defect.
Why can't I eject the room fragrance tab?

  • Start with the Essential or All Inclusive subscription – depending on the duration and range of benefits.
  • As soon as the fill level of your room fragrance tab falls below 15%, your smart diffuser detects this automatically.
  • A new fragrance capsule will be delivered just-in-time, without you having to order it yourself.
  • You can flexibly change the fragrance before each delivery.

  • To do this, go to your personal customer account and log in.
  • In the dashboard overview, click on the “Subscriptions” section.

Can the room fragrance be changed in the subscription?

As soon as your next Revoltab subscription delivery is due, you'll automatically receive a notification via email or push notification 7 days in advance. This gives you plenty of time to make any changes.

How long is the term of a subscription I billing?

Our two subscription models have different minimum terms:

All-inclusive subscription: 12-month term, with monthly billing of CHF 39.–

Essential subscription: 6 months term, with monthly billing of CHF 27.–

Billing is automatically processed via the payment method stored in the customer account. After the minimum term expires, the subscription is automatically renewed and can be terminated with one month's notice.
